In the House of Officers of the Western Military District on Liteiny 20, an international competition of military-patriotic songs of local wars and armed conflicts - "Soldiers of an Undeclared War" was held.
The musical event is over ten years old. In recent years, the competition has been held under the auspices of the Leningrad Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization of Veterans "Combat Brotherhood". This time more than 60 participants from all over Russia and neighboring countries gathered on the same stage. Author's songs, as well as works by famous composers, sounded in the hall.
The jury included eminent guests: Honored Artist of Russia Yevgeny Dyatlov Yevgeny Dyatlov, theater and film actor Sergei Aprelsky, musical performer Yuliana Yan Yuliana Yan.
Host of the festival - actor Yakov Shamshin Yakov Shamshin.
The competition was attended by soloists and vocal groups from such cities as Moscow, Kursk, Togliatti, Surgut, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Nefteyugansk, Torzhok and Syktyvkar, as well as the Republic of Crimea.
The final concert was timed to coincide with the Day of Remembrance of the Internationalist Warriors.
